A day to remember

by Masarrah Alsree on May 21, 2010

On May 2nd 2010, a new beginning for Mr Mohammed Alsree, my lovely cousin and his beloved wife Mrs Lulu Alhadad. It was a lovely and a very long wedding indeed. It started from 1pm till 10pm. Its very informal as people comes and go. The place were very overcrowded. There were no sits for everyone and its like people had to take numbers before they can sit. Due to the helpful cousins of the groom, the place were well organized even though the place were packed. Even some of them had to suffer from blisters due to the high heels but the wedding was a day to remember. At 7pm, the guests were entertained by the samrah dance. The cutest thing was the cousins of the groom start dancing. From 6 years old till 17 years old. Even though they are lack of practice but they did amazing. After that, the pros start dancing. They maybe pros but the cousins were cuter and you can see their effort. The wedding ended when the groom danced with the bride. This is rarely done in Malay culture because most of them just sit down  and the bride and groom were treated as KING AND QUEEN of the day. To see them dancing is new to the culture but it ended well and fun. Hope you both live happily ever after. LOVE YOU BOTHHHHHHHHHH… xoxoxoxo

Wedding Ceremony in Singapore

by Abdurahman Mashur on May 13, 2010

Last week was full of joy and happiness in Singapore. Alsree’s family from my mother side are having first time wedding ceremony to conduct. The ceremony are held with mix of modern and traditional arab-melayu culture. A lot of guest are attending the wedding, including international guests from dubai, indonesia, and malaysia as well.

The nikah itself are quite special, because there are few guests including Habib Syech Alaydrus (Son of Habib Muhammad Alaydrus a.k.a Habib neon) and Habib Husin, which is quite popular ulama in Indonesia overall. Before we go the bride’s house, we are reading maulid habsyi first to pray that everything will be smooth and fine.

iPad review : bisnis dan pasar

Post image for iPad review : bisnis dan pasar

by Abdurahman Mashur on April 20, 2010

Blogging to make money, or get money from your blog?

brads

by Abdurahman Mashur on April 2, 2010

Everyone in blogospehere has their own motivation to start blogging. I’ve seen a lots of blog (including mine) that act their blog as online personal diary, where they tell the world about their passion, their love stories and personal day to day life. For example, when you get stuck by traffic jam, you write article about it. Im not saying that it’s wrong, it’s actually good. Some people start blogging to get money from it, they utilized google ads and another advertising model to their blog. This would not be a problem if you are highly creative person like Brad Colbow or Robert Scoble , but since both of us are just student with lack of writing skill in the beginning, this could demotivate yourself.

Post image for Freedom of Speech and Net Neutrality in (Southeast) Asia

by Abdurahman Mashur on March 20, 2010

Recently, I have had some conversation with Tristan Louis here. We were discussing about open internet and the side effects of it in asian country; The discussion isn’t over yet, and i try to explain as much as possible in this article.

Indonesia, a home for 200+ millions of people. also considered as the biggest Muslim country in the world. Ethnically the country is highly diverse, with over 580 languages and dialects—but only 13 have more than one million speakers. the country is suffered from military dictatorship ruled for over 32 years. In 1998, along with asian financial crisis, the country is having a bloody demonstration and chaos to forced President Soeharto to resign in May 1998. One year later, the country conducted the first democratic elections since 1955. However, The regime had left massive corruption through the government official.

I took this pictures during lunch in penang time square.

I born as a single kid, it gives me freedom to have anything on my own. which is good and bad at the same time. However, I loved kids. They are cute, innocent, and funny. No matter what the races are, kids are always kids. they gave brighter colors to the world with their smiles, and act.
